Black is not the first colour that springs to mind when one thinks of summer, but I just had to rummage my wardrobe for blacks when we were in Berlin. Pastels, floral prints, and other summer staples just don’t sit right with Berlin’s industrial vibe and pockets of alternative sub-culture.
In order to make black work for the summer, it’s imperative to move away from stifling, heavy (read wintry) garments. So I opted for a light crop-top with a sheer maxi-skirt. It might be black but the sheer panelling makes it super-summery. I’m wearing a spiked necklace and the same ring I wore here. In typical European fashion, there was a nip in the air (it’s almost June-grrr!), so I threw on a biker leather jacket to complete the ensemble.
