I know you’ve been seeing endless photos of snow in Switzerland on our newsfeed recently, but the weather was constantly changing while we there. It was hard to decide what to pack for Switzerland. That’s because the European spring is notoriously unpredictable – the sun is shining over Alpine meadows one minute and snowflakes are pelting down at a furious pace the very next minute. Crazy weather calls for layers – I’ve packed all my dark woollens away in preparation of the summer, so I packed light-coloured knits and a pastel pink coat for our week in Switzerland.
One always runs the risk of looking like a giant marshmallow with so many pastel tones in one outfit 😉 So I combined the pastel pink jumper and coat with distressed jeans and metallic accessories (silver loafers and a silver clutch bag) to roughen up the outfit a bit.
The gem necklace is from Lucy Melrose’s little Instagram shop that I discovered last month. Her decadent necklaces caused quite the stir when I posted them on our Instagram account a fortnight ago. They came wrapped in gorgeous fuchsia paper with a personalised note (always a good sign!). The necklaces themselves are such great quality for the price and the ribbon tie makes them feel really luxurious. Come summer, I’m going to order some flower crowns from Lucy’s shop – I already know it 🙂
We spent the day driving to really tiny Swiss villages, sampling cheese and chocolates, and discovering stunning castles (more on that in our next post). Hope you enjoy the outfit photos 🙂
