This is an outfit I wore back in September ’12, but it just seems right to blog about it in May ’13 since everyone is talking about monochrome prints and crop-tops this summer. I’m wearing an old tee from New Look- I chopped the ends off and was left with rough, jagged edges, which I love. If you’re still on the fence about printed trousers, buy them 🙂 This stripey pair is perfect to tszuj up an outfit and it goes with everything from tees and flip-flops to dainty jewels and heels.

I thrive on colour, so I had to add a pop of colour to the black n white outfit – some chunky tribal bangles and a bright yellow bag. I love the bag because of the kitschy black and white panel with Bollywood actresses all over it. It’s from a really cool brand called Poppurri. They’re based in India, but they ship internationally too.

Trousers: River Island via ASOS

Crop Top: DIY/New Look

Shoes: New Look

Bag: Poppurri

Bangles: Moroccan Flea-market (ASOS has similar ones here)

  1. Love the bag Savuu! Also, these sort of pants are all the rage at Mango Singapore right now…as soon as I saw them I thought of you–the perfect person to carry them off 🙂

    1. Shilpi that’s true- stripes are all the rage this summer. You indulge me too much 🙂

  2. Hey Savi so much fun to read your blog:) Not to miss out on the fact that you look absolutely gorgeous. The Diva bag looks perfect with your ensemble. A big thank you for the feature:) Totally hooked to Bruised Passports.

  3. I have some baggy trousers with what looks like animal print on them. They’re great for summer and I think they look good too, but I can never get the feeling out of my head that some people think I forgot to change out of my pyjamas! I guess it’s all about wearing with confidence, right?!

  4. I’m itching for a pair of pants like this but have been on the fence about buying a pair. Think I’m ready to jump over the fence now:) How do you wash a top that is frayed from chopping it off? Love the bag; really makes the cool outfit!

    1. It would be best to hand wash it. But if you’re as lazy as me, just pop it in the machine with your delicates Sher 🙂 Buy a pair of stripey pants – it’s easy to style them in a gazillion different ways
