If you’re planning a visit to Japan during Cherry Blossom season,  then make sure you pack a variety of clothes ranging from summer tops to warm jackets because you are going to need them all!

As for us, we packed a variety of clothes in pastel shades to compliment the sakura blossoms we were expecting to see in Japan – I filmed a video on Instagram showing  everything I packed in my suitcase for Japan and if you saw it, you would’ve noticed most of our clothes were ivory, pale pink, periwinkle blue, or lemon yellow.

But that’s not all – I also packed a couple of kimonos and trousers in rich Oriental fabrics. Dragon motifs paid homage to Japanese culture and history while dark floral prints came handy for adding drama to evenings out in Tokyo. Here’s a Lookbook for inspiration- a lot of these items are pieces I’ve had for ages but I’ve added links to some of the items still available online. If you want to see a practical list of things that goes into our suitcases, then check out this article on packing for travel.

  7. Hi,

Am planning to go to Japan & S.Korea for Cherry Blossom Apr’18…thinking of 3 nights Tokyo, 4 nights Kyoto (with 1 night @ Surian) & 3 nights Seoul. Is that OK? Shall I reduce a night in Seoul & do an extra night in Kyoto or Surian?

    Appreciate your feedback
